Meet Kindra
Kindra started her career in Applied Behavior Analysis by accident—while working in an Early Childhood Education Program as a Pre-K teacher. Drawn to the kiddos who learned differently and needed extra support to be successful in the classroom, she sought to improve her teaching and provide better supports for these children and their families by investing in her knowledge about child development and developmental disabilities. She enrolled in the Special Education Master’s program at the University of Texas at Austin and fell in love with the science of behavior and applying ABA to help children and their families.
Starting her own consulting and in-home ABA company in 2011, Kindra focused on early intervention, parent and teacher training, and social skills groups for elementary-aged children. As the field of ABA expanded, Kindra shifted to working in clinical settings, growing from a Case Supervisor to Director of Programming and served as a Clinical Director for larger ABA companies. It was during this time she developed a passion for training and supporting BCBA trainees and other professionals in ABA.
Over the last decade, Kindra sought opportunities to expand her knowledge and application of ABA by collaborating with other professionals, attending trainings on any and every topic related to behavior analysis, and completing summer internships with Autism Partnership in California.
In her free time, Kindra enjoys time with her family, including her stepchildren and her two fur babies. As an outdoor enthusiast, she hikes, gardens, and splashes into any water activity. She is a total music nerd and uses ANY excuse to see live music in her hometown of Austin, Texas. Kindra loves traveling and experiencing different cultures and traditions. One day, she hopes to expand the application of ABA by supporting the growth of the field internationally.
